I see these come up every now and then. They seem to be highly collectible. It's a Haunted Mansion secret panel chest, and is basically a puzzle box. It has a secret drawer you can hide stuff in, and you have to move panels around in the right order to get it to open. One of the better attraction souvenirs.
Another one I'm tempted to buy. It's a 10-page booklet featuring Adventure Thru Inner Space from 1967 (in my opinion, the glory days of Tomorrowland, how I miss it so). Beautiful artwork; one page depicting the "Mighty Eye."
Booklets don't take up a lot of space, do they? Do they?!
Well, I knew as soon as I bought the domain I would probably want to expand outside Disneyland. For me, I'm only really interested in Disneyland things, but you may want Walt Disney World stuff.
And some is this stuff is too cool not to post.
Case in point: The policeman prop from Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Magic Kingdom. Toady is sadly no longer at the Magic Kindgom, and this policeman hasn't been run into by a wayward horseless carriage for such a long time...
Okay, I know, this isn't Disneyland (and I may have to rethink my "just Disneyland" theme here), but this was too cool not to put up. Via The Disney Blog, this is a 1/32" scale model prop of the Yacht and Beach Club Resort at Walt Disney World. These kinds of models are used in the architectural development, and apparently, Disney models are rarely seen on the market.
Oh, and the auction includes airfare to Orlando, a four-night stay at either the Yacht or Beach Club, and four Park Hopper passes.
What I don't get is the seller is calling the $49,999 a "starting price" when it's listed as Buy It Now. Buy It Now means you can, well, buy it now for the asking price.
This is a 1/90 scale Schuco Disneyland Monorail car. I understand these are highly collectible, so if you're into the Monorail stuff, you'd best jump on it.
Sold at Disneyland in the 1950s, this unusual Submarine Voyage souvenir can be worn on your face. I often wonder about specific souvenirs... why someone thought that a particular souvenir was a good idea... This is one of those times. Not that I don't enjoy the design of these sunglasses because I do, but they're sunglasses... with submarines... on them.
Someone on my other blog mentioned she would like to have a Disneyland ticket book. Knowing how prevalent they are on eBay, I figured I'd put this up just as a reminder.
God help me, I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff. It's a rock. I know it's a rock. But it's an ACTUAL PIECE OF THE MATTERHORN! That makes it a Disneyland artifact, and that makes it WANT.
"Disneyland Finds" is a blog devoted to finding you interesting Disneyland collectibles and memorabilia. I can't buy this stuff... No room! But you can. More...
Why...?
"Why doesn't your description match the item shown?" or "Why is there no item?" The eBay widget only lasts for 90 days, then defaults to a similar item. After the original listing expires, it may show something that's sort of like what I originally posted, or it may not show anything at all. To be safe, please read the seller's description before bidding!
